Last night I attended a very special event as Boston Ballet launched the 2008-2009 season. We were invited to visit the Boston Ballet Costume Shop and learn some of the secrets behind their incredible wardrobes from Manager of Costumes Charles Heightchew. I was struck by the utilitarian beauty of the chromatically arranged spools of thread, and the stacks of tutus. Check out one of their performances this season - the line-up is truly spectacular.
